Those are todays stocks. Every stock is up besides for Macy's and Target. I don't understand why because those are two MAJOR companies, and even during the holiday time you would think people would be buying there. StarBucks and NetFlixs may of went up because the time of the year. GMC may of went up because of all the new deals during this time of the year.

Here is this weeks stocks. As you can see Netflix went up. This can be due to them buying the rights to show all disney channel movies after they get released from the theaters. Starbucks is also up because its the time of the year when everyone wants those limited time flavors and warm drinks.
Friday, November 30, 2012
Starbucks has gone up again. It definitely has to do with
the time of the year. I see everyone in school with either Starbucks coffee or
hot chocolate. This time of year all special flavor holiday drinks come out.
Many people want to get into holiday spirit, so limited time flavors of coffee
is what they buy.

This week all of our stocks have gone up except for one
stock, JetBlue. I have a feeling JetBlue might have went down because of the
cancelation of February break for many east coast schools. During this time
people would normally start buying plane tickets for February break since this
is the time most people go away. Now many families can’t go away during this
time and travel will decrease.

Hurricane Sandy has had a major effect on Wall Street, eventhough it has not effected my groups stocks. It did infact help us with our Starbucks share. Since everyones power and WiFi has been knocked out due to the storm many have been going to Strabucks for internet connection. If people are at Starbucks for WiFi, then why not just buy a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate here and there.

EBay which is a website to buy and sell items we
bought because we assumed holiday shopping will begin soon and this is a
website that will be used a lot within the next few months.
·
Intel Corporations which is a software company
we bought because it was low and we took a risk for it if it might go up.
·
IBM is a technology company that we bought
because it is publicly known as always doing well.
·
Netflix is a video company that we bought
because it is good business that everyone is starting to have in their
household.
·
Wels Fargo is an online banking company that is
known to do well and was low, so we decided to buy it.
·
Golf Energy Corporation is a gas/oil/energy
company that we bought because it is not a popular business that we thought can
be on the rise.
·
Starbucks is a coffee shop that we bought
because we thought since the weather is getting cold and it is the holiday time’s
people would like coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and other hot drink items.
·
Target is well known business that sells
everything from food to bikes. We bought this company because around this time
people will be buying candy for Halloween, and start buying for the holidays
coming up.
